Sichuan Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. was established in 2002 as the third pharmaceutical enterprise invested by Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. Japan in mainland China, integrating R&D, production and sales.

The company's marketing headquarters is located in Chengdu, with its registered address and manufacturing base in Leshan High-tech Development Zone. The modern factory occupies an area of 50 mu, officially completed and put into operation in July 2003. In the same year, it successfully passed national GMP certification and subsequently obtained GMP certification from Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. Japan. As the company continued to grow, a new Building B formulation facility was constructed in 2014 and completed in January of the following year, successfully obtaining the new national GMP certification.

Since its establishment, Sichuan Otsuka has adhered to the core corporate philosophy of "Disease Management · Patient Care," upholding the quality control policy of "Quality is Life." The company continuously provides high-quality products to Chinese patients, including Aripiprazole Oral Solution (Abilify®), Montelukast Sodium (Bai San Ping®), Levocetirizine Hydrochloride Oral Solution (Ping Ke Ning®), Procaterol Hydrochloride Powder for Inhalation (Bai Da Tu® Shu Wen Le®), Ambroxol Hydrochloride (Tan Jing®), and other respiratory and psychiatric medications. In addition, the company holds a range of generic drug products to meet diverse medical needs.

While achieving its own development, Sichuan Otsuka has always kept social responsibility in mind, actively participating in public welfare initiatives. After the "5.12" earthquake in 2008, the company quickly took action while resuming production, being among the first to donate medicines, supplies, and funds to the hardest-hit areas to help disaster victims overcome hardship. In 2019, respiratory medicines were donated to pneumoconiosis patients through the China Social Assistance Foundation, contributing to improving patients' quality of life. During the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, the company actively donated funds to support epidemic control efforts. In 2023, medicines were donated to more pneumoconiosis patients through the China Emergency Rescue Personnel Care and Mine Pneumoconiosis Prevention Foundation. Over the years, Sichuan Otsuka's public welfare efforts have never stopped, always adhering to its original mission and giving back to society through concrete actions, earning widespread praise and recognition.
